Vincent Valentine
Extended Bio: Vincent was the Turk assigned to Nibelheim during the Jenova Project, some thirty years prior to the game. He fell deeply in love with Lucrecia, one of the scientists working under Professor Gast, but she rejected him in favor of Hojo. When Lucrecia agreed to the Jenova Project, Vincent protested, but he was unable to stop her. After Sephiroth's birth, Lucrecia grew very weak, and Vincent went to Hojo in anger. Hojo shot him, experimented on him, and locked him in the basement of the Shinra mansion. Hojo's experiments have halted Vincent's age, so while time goes by, Vincent remains as he was at twenty-seven, save for his metal claw and the monsters within him. Vincent blames himself for Lucrecia's death, but also hates Hojo for his hand in it, and he joins Cloud's party to get revenge. References in the Script:
