Vincent

Fall 2001

The precurser to all my other plushies, made during my Vincent phase in the beginning of high school. I didn't have any sort of pattern for him and honestly don't recall how I went about putting him together. He has a number of peculiarities which make him look infinitely better with all his clothes on. His hair is sewn in a little strangely, so that without the headband, the knotted yarn is visible just under his skin, and his hair will lift up to expose most of the back of his head. His head is shaped oddly, so that he doesn't have any form of chin, nor did I draw a mouth on his face, and thankfully both of these facts are hidden by his cloak. The only oddity which is always visible is that for some reason one of his feet is significantly bigger than the other. I don't know why I didn't fix that at the time, it's neither unnoticeable nor difficult to alter.

Also on the list of oddities, his clothes were never actually finished. They look all right, but aren't completely hemmed, and one of the snaps on his shirt is missing. And finally, I didn't make his shoes until about three or four years later. That's a long time to go barefoot.
