Title from line 4.186 of the Aeneid, which deals with Rumor and her habits. "By day she sits as a guardian." I felt it was appropriate.

If you want the context, it goes something like "By night she flies shrieking through the shadows midway between earth and sky, and never does she lower her eyes in quiet sleep; by day she sits as a guardian either on the top of the tallest roof, or on the highest tower, and terrifies the great cities; so Rumor, a tenacious messenger of the false, the twisted, and the true." I wonder if it's sad it never before occurred to me that I don't own an English translation.
