Character Sketches

When I do artwork of any characters, it's often to help me get a better feel for them, or the relationships between them. Consequently, I tend to consider these sketches of who they are, rather than finished works. These characters are still growing as I imagine them, so any picture, no matter how well it turns out, is necessarily still a draft.

Expressive Works

Sometimes I get it in my head that I want to do what I guess you might call art for art's sake. It isn't done with the intention of getting to know a character better, but to create an image that says something. I'm still not very good at this kind of art, but it is fun whenever I do venture to try it. Characters who recur here are far more conceptual, hard to pin down, and will only allow such snapshots of themselves.
